Crystal TQ

 

The transparent revolving door.

The Boon Edam Crystal TQ is made almost entirely of glass—the door wings, the sidewalls and even the ceiling. The Crystal TQ utilizes a combination of tempered and laminated safety glass to minimize, or in some places eliminate, the traditional metal framing of the door.

The doorset, which is available in a 3-wing or 4-wing configuration, is made from 1/2” tempered glass connected to the center shaft with specially made stainless steel clamps. The tempered laminated glass ceiling is fixed to the curved laminated glass side walls with small, unobtrusive clamps.

The dazzling Crystal TQ is a virtually transparent revolving door that is perfect for contemporary glass facades, yet still blends beautifully with classic architectural styles. Available in a wide range of sizes, the Boon Edam Crystal TQ brings together quality in design and engineering.

TQA

The all round revolving door.

The TQA operates on the principle of “always open, always closed.” This means that the door is closed to drafts, unwanted outside air, noise and dirt, but users can pass through easily and efficiently without impairing the door’s energy-saving benefits.

The TQA is a fully Automatic Revolving Door. At rest, this 3-wing door waits for approaching traffic. Microwave motion detectors mounted on the canopy, above both throat openings, detect pedestrians and signal the motor to rotate the doorset.

At 10’0” or 12’0” in diameter, the 3-wing TQA provides a comfortable compartment size for most pedestrian traffic. At 12’0” in diameter, the TQA can also accommodate wheelchairs.

Boon Edam’s Twintour defies simple description. More than a revolving door, the Twintour is a revolving door concept. A unique concept, for the Twintour consists of two (or three) small revolving doors which are connected with one another via an existing or specially constructed portal.

The door set of the Twintour is a two-wing door set. Even so the Twintour is still draught proof. In fact, the Twintour is one of the most economical doors of the entire range of revolving doors in terms of the energy it consumes and the energy it saves.

As you would expect from the revolving door market leader we have developed a revolutionary door called the Flowslide, a high-tech combination of a revolving door and curved sliding panels. The Flowslide offers a complete physical separation between two crossing passenger flows on a single floor.

Construction

This solution proves that it is possible to reconcile passenger comfort with improved security measures. With the Flowslide, we offer the possibility of a single storey terminal construction or using the existing terminal infrastructure without renovating your building to effect the separation of passenger flow.

Passenger terminals

The Flowslide can be used in all kind of terminals where it is necessary to separate two flows of people, e.g. separation of arriving and departing passengers in airports, seaport and railway terminals.

Working principle

The Flowslide consists of a rigid central door wing and three curved sliding panels, which revolve within the fixed bent wall. The sliding panels can alternately being spread and folded to open or close the entries or exits of the door. The combination of sliding panels and door wings are software controlled and programmed in such a way that passengers only can walk from point A <-> B or from point X <->Y.

Maximum security

The Cashlock has been designed in such a way that literally only one person can pass through at a time. At first sight it looks like any normal hinged door, but the neat finish and the impact resistant and scratchproof coating actually conceal a genuine bunker - and that over a surface area of scarcely one square metre! The high density-beam matrix of Speedlane 996 security turnstiles offer ¼" tailgate detection and a negligible false alarm rate. The matrix collects data about what is passing between the cabinets, processes the information and makes active decisions about whether or not to generate an alarm. The matrix detection system offers superior tailgate detection because of the unique combination of perpendicular and horizontal beams. Because so much data is available, our Speedlane 996 security turnstiles can discern a bag or suitcase from a second person and ignore swinging arms and umbrellas. THT-100T (Tandem): Steel or Powder Coat

    THT-100ASTGMD (Metal Detection)

    • Enhanced full height turnstile to meet specific security applications where the safety and security of metal detection is required
    • Fully integrated system combines aesthetic appeal with real control for installations demanding accurate and efficient monitoring of persons carrying metal objects
    • Electrically controlled in one or both directions; Available in any combination of fail-lock or fail-safe on electric versions; All fail-lock applications automatically include a mechanical key release to allow manual override in an emergency
    • Capable of interfacing with any type of card reader access or biometric system
    • Especially well suited to airports, schools, courthouses, prisons and military bases
    • Equipped with two key-operated modes of operation:
      1. The first allows authorized users free passage through turnstile unless a metal object is detected. When notified by the integrated metal detector, the turnstile locks and bars passage until the violation is resolved by security personnel.
      2. The second mode integrates an access control system into the turnstile that only allows one authorized user at a time to enter. If an alarm condition occurs, the access control reader is shunted and the turnstile remains locked, barring entry until the violation is investigated and cleared.
